Apple Crisp

Recently, we took the kids apple picking to a lovely place called The Farmer’s Pantry in Thornbury, Ontario. We have been there previously but thanks to Covid and new ownership, it’s been a couple of years since we’ve been back. We love that their farm is just rows upon rows of apples to pick, with multiple varieties to choose from depending on when you go.

For our visit, they had MacIntosh and Spartan apples ready to be picked. We chose Spartans and picked enough to eat fresh and put in lunches for awhile, make some apple crisp and other baked goods and make some homemade apple sauce. Overall, a yearly tradition we all look forward to!
